Description

Distinguished by its finely serrated leaf margins, Cymodocea serrulata often co-occurs with other Cymodocea species and contributes to mixed seagrass meadow diversity.

Morphology

Flat leaves 4โ€“9 mm wide with finely serrated margins and rounded tips. Leaves 10โ€“25 cm long.

Habitat

Sandy to sandy-muddy substrates in shallow coastal waters.

Distribution

Indo-Pacific region.

Ecological Role
